U11s (mainly U9s!) girls learning fast
Great captain's performance from Annie King
Unfortunately, last minute availability issues meant that only five of our U11 girls team arrived to play this fixture (and four of these were U9s). Many thanks to Harry Jones who stepped in to play to enable the matches to go ahead. On a hot, sunny morning, the young girls showed real improvement in their skills and in their understanding of the game. Highlights were a first ever 4 for Daisy Barnes
, a "caught and bowled" for Poppy Jones
and a super captain's performance from Annie King
, who fielded like an octopus. Madison Windeatt
is showing confidence above her years with both the bat and the ball and Georgia McCluskey
improved her bowling accuracy. Fielding with just four fielders taught the girls about changing their positions for a right-hand vs a left hand batter.
